FIVE PICTURE FRIDAY!!
Mission Beach, San Diego
Taken October 4, 2023
Mission Beach is always a fun place to visit. Classic Southern California, laid back, quirky, both sublime and ragged. The ‘Boardwalk’ - which is really a concrete path - ties the neighborhood together like a spinal cord, while million dollar condos and ramshackle apartment blocks crowd the sand. Whether taking a stroll, swimming, playing volleyball, sipping a cocktail, riding your bike, or just hanging out…Mission Beach residents and visitors embrace a most distinctive vibe.
About “Five Picture Friday”
Every other Friday, I produce a short photo-essay on a location I found interesting. I try to capture the essence of the place, distilled down into a few images. It’s a fun way to practice my photography, and I hope you enjoy a little armchair travel!
TWERP ALERT!
People to avoid, as they seem to fail at being a decent human.
Kim Reynolds, Governor of Iowa. When asked why she declined Federal funds that would help feed poor and underprivileged kids, mentioned “childhood obesity”.
Seriously. We’re trying to have a civilization here…
