FIVE PICTURE FRIDAY! - Chiswick

The charms of a quiet west London neighborhood along the Thames.

Taken November 8, 2024

Almost accidentally, I encountered the neighborhood of Chiswick on my last couple of days in London. The kind of cute, quiet, yet vibrant place where romantic comedies are set - think the shy bookstore proprietor secretly in love with the flower girl across the street - it’s truly a hidden gem of London. Bordering the Thames river, blessed with parks and bespoke commercial avenues - it’s a wonderful place to stroll, taking in the shops, tidy flats, churches, pubs, and surprising pathways.

About “Five Picture Friday”

Every other Friday, I produce a short photo-essay on an interesting location. I try to capture the essence of the place, distilled down into a few images. It’s a fun way to practice my photography, and I hope you enjoy a little armchair travel!
