FIVE PICTURE FRIDAY!! - Graffiti

Street art in the East End of London

Taken November 7, 2024

Brick Lane is known for its thrift shops, Bangladeshi community, and general funky vibe. But perhaps the most striking thing about the area is the proliferation and diversity of street art. Nearly every storefront, wall, and window is covered with posters, placards, graffiti, and amazing murals. At least one Banksy art installation joins the visual cacophony, and exploring the lane is a pleasure of sensory overload.

About “Five Picture Friday”

Every other Friday, I produce a short photo-essay on an interesting location. I try to capture the essence of the place, distilled down into a few images. It’s a fun way to practice my photography, and I hope you enjoy a little armchair travel!
